This sophisticated gadget makes it simple and easy for me to achieve my goal of making two double ristretto cappuccinos in the morning, even when I'm groggy and functioning on two brain cells pre-coffee. Puck preparation is ridiculously easy: it's always level and tamped to 30 pounds, and there's always a satisfying snap/thump when the proper tamp pressure is achieved. This gadget is another one of life's little pleasures. P.S. For even better results, try placing a puck screen on top before tamping.
After using it for several days, I can safely say that it’s an excellent tool. It’s easy to dial in, the distribution works perfectly and it has completely replaced my previous premium tamper and distributor. I have just received the tamper, which works great with my slightly oversized VST basket. It would be helpful if the instructions clearly stated which way to turn the ring to increase or decrease the pressure, and what the factory setting is. I later found online that it ships at 22 lbs and that the ring turns to the right to increase and to the left to decrease.
